2014 Tax Free Shopping!
It’s that time again! Time to pack up the kids, lace up your comfy shopping shoes, head to the outlets and getchu a piece of this tax free shopping! My littlest one is starting pre-K this year so I’m both looking forward to and dreading the new school year. Why must they grow up? *ugly cries*
Anywho, I digress. I’m here to talk about tax free shopping. Unfortunately, not all states offer the wonderful perk that is tax free shopping but here are the ones who do:

North Carolina is skipping the tax holiday fun this year, but you can still score some deals in neighboring states.
Now that you know when the tax holidays will occur, you need to be prepared. All tax holidays are not equal. Taxable and tax exempt items can vary from state to state. For instance, while Virginia offers a tax break on school supplies AND clothing, Maryland’s tax break only applies to clothing. Check out your state’s Department of Revenue website to get clear on the tax free savings before you hit the stores.
