De-clutter & Do Some Good with Goodwill!

By  |

If you've been rockin' with me for a while, then you know that I've shared lots of info about cleaning out your closet and de-cluttering your wardrobe. I shop a lot (don’t judge me) so my closet is almost always in clean out mode. Out with the old to make room for the new!

If you're new here, check out this handy decision tree to help you decide what to keep and what to toss and if you haven't already, when you sign up for the newsletter, you'll get a copy of ‘Closet Cleanse: Detox Your Closet in 4 Easy Steps!’ for free99.

Today, we're taking the closet clean out a step further and doing some good with Goodwill.

Goodwill has launched Give Back Box to allow people who can’t drop off donations an easier way to give back. When you shop online with Goodwill’s brand partners (Ann Taylor Loft, Overstock and Levi's to name a few) you can reuse their shipping boxes, and send clothing and household items you no longer want or need directly to Goodwill.

All you have to do is attach a pre-paid shipping label that you can download at www.goodwill.org/givebackbox, drop off your box off at UPS store or have the post office pick it up. And it's absolutely FREE!

I got a chance to chat with Goodwill Spokesperson, Lorie Marrero, about how the program works, what types of things you can donate and some tips to get clutter under control.

Check it out:

That's it. It's crazy easy! Just pack your box, print out your free shipping label and send.

The Give Back Box program not only helps you get rid of unwanted items, it helps Goodwill continue to get people back to work and it keep cardboard boxes out of landfills. Win, win, and win!

What say you? Are you ready to de-clutter your situation?
