The Thrill of Thrifting 2013 Challenge

By  |

As a Fab & Frugal Fashionista, you all know that I enjoy shopping AND saving money. Well, for 2013, my girl LaQuisha over at Corner Curl Girl and I have decided to challenge ourselves (and you if you should be so inclined) to shop EXCLUSIVELY at thrift/consignment/vintage stores. For the year. On a budget.

We think it’ll be a great way to flex our creative muscles, build a diverse wardrobe and save money.

Here are the deets:

  • We will shop on a monthly budget of $100
  • Clothes will be purchased exclusively from thrift/consignment/vintage shops. We will talk about the differences between these later
  • Shoes and accessories are not included in the challenge (Q almost had to talk me off a ledge when I thought I couldn’t buy new shoes)
  • To make things more interesting (because solely shopping secondhand isn’t interesting enough right?) we will host a monthly challenge (See January Challenge HERE)

So, what say you? Do you think you can shop thrift stores exclusively for a year? We think you can! Let’s do this!

Check out the first challenge HERE

Until next time,
