Scandal-Less Style

By  |

Last week I was hanging around on Facebook, just minding my business when a friend posted a comment about the ABC hit show Scandal. She seemed pretty friggin’ excited about it so I asked if it was worth trying to catch up from the beginning to which she answered:

“Oh. MY. GOODNESS!!! YES! GIRL!!! Take the caps as me screaming at you! I hope you have NetFlix. Start at the beginning. It is so beyond good, it’s ridiculous…”

Off to Netflix I went and when I tell you they had me at hello… I was hooked within the first 2 minutes. Seriously, I wanted to be a “gladiator in a suit”.

While I spent the next day and a half catching up on all things Scandal two things stood out: 1) Olivia Popes lip color is the bomb and 2) Her style is On. Point.

I immediately took to the interwebs to find the particular shade of wonderfulness she’s always sporting and thanks to @Scandalmakeup, I was able to find a couple of her lip color mainstays: Tarte 24.7 Natural Lip Sheer SPF 15 in Champagne Brunch & Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Color Balm in Whole Lotta Honey. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t buy them both.

I was also able to track down some of the fly pieces from Ms. Popes closet, alas, they exceeded the constraints of my current budget. Howeverbutcomma, when this jacket goes on sale, it shall be mine:

Scandal Inspired Look for Less

Allsaints Turnlock Monument Jacket, $295.00

So this Fab Look for Less is in honor of my new obsession and my second favorite Gladiator in a suit (because really, Harrison is like whoa.)

Scandal Inspired Look for Less

What say you? Are you a Scandal fan? What’s your fave Olivia Pope look?

When I graduated fromlaw school and got admitted to the bar, I never thought I would be a gladiator in a suit, but I do like that title. I also like your fashion breakdown at such reasonable prices.
