The Look for Less
You Don’t Have to go Baroque for Fab Shades
Hi, my name is T. Espinoza and I have a shopping problem.
Whew, I’m glad I got that off my chest. That’s not the only problem I have though. I also have Louboutin taste on a Red Circle Boutique (read: Target) budget. In addition to the shopping problem and my innate attraction to all things designer (or otherwise expensive) I’m also kinda cheap extremely fiscally responsible. These forces are in constant battle with one another… I win some, I lose some.
Recently, I came thisclose to allowing myself a splurge on these Über Fab Prada Baroque sunglasses.
I saw Solange wearing them a while back and couldn’t get over how chic they looked.
*I'd like to note that Solo and I are BFF's in my head*
Peep the head-wrap. Swoon.
Prada Baroque Sunglasses, $300
I figured, why not? I work hard and I had put away a little extra, so I should reward myself. Alas, my mind just could not get wrapped around the idea of paying $300 for, let’s face it, some damn plastic sunglasses.
Enter Retro City Sunglasses. And these:
Black Bellissimo Oversize Sunglasses, $10.99
**The Black Bellissimo Oversize Sunglasses are actually not available anymore, but you can still get your *swirl* on at Amazon. You have your choice of 11 different colors and most are less than $10. #Winning
*insert happy dance here*
What’s missing? The “Prada” label. Do I care? For 10 bucks, not so much.
So what say you? Would you go for the splurge or the save?

Awesome find! I love it when steals like this come to life. You can look and feel like a million bucks while only spending ten!!

This is absolutely shameful! I wasn’t sure whether or not this was you in the photo. You know I don’t do celebrities, even the young man in the photo didn’t help. His curls look like XMan’s, but the age and the wrap were right for Taz.
Never, ever deprecate your Kopi Luwak and platinum taste, ’cause you most certainly got that honestly. And, the shades ain’t half bad either.

fab-u-LESS!!! As in price, not fab! ๐ *THIS* is why you make such an amazing personal shopper, and are real-girl friendly! now if you can find me a substitute for my broken YSL blue shades that won’t cost me a week’s pay, I will do a happy dance for a whole week!

I love a great deal. Good find! I suffer your same symptoms but I’m not big on labels so I’m always looking for a good substitute. (Unless I can catch a deal at a TJMaxx, Ross, etc…!)
