Spring is (Almost) Here! Wardrobe Inspiration with Pantone

By  |

I don't know about you but I'm over the cold, gray, dreary misery that is winter. I mean the snow was cute for a minute but I'd

like to be able to wear my cute shoes without fear of breaking my neck on a patch if ice or *gasp* ruining my shoes with salt. C'mon spring!

With another snow storm looming, I thought this would be as good a time as any to think warm thoughts and start thinking about my spring wardrobe.

Now, you've probably heard of Pantone’s Color of the Year (it's Marsala by the way) but did you know that Pantone creates an entire seasonal color palette? Here's the Spring 2015 Color Report:

I'm particularly jazzed about the lucite green and scuba blue. Those colors remind me of sea glass and Caribbean beaches (read: someplace warm). I'm also here for the cool grey as a neutral.

Before I slip into a wonderful daydream about sun and actually enjoying being outside, here's some inspiration for incorporating these colors into your own wardrobe:

Pantone Spring 2015

Sleeveless A-line dress, $50 | Knot detail skirt, $28 | Stella & Dot Trellis Necklace, $98 | H&M Fitted Jacket, $35 & Slacks, $25 | 'Caspar' bag, $40 | Stella & Dot 'Sutton' Necklace, $178 | 'Loletta' Pump, $40

What say you? Which of the Pantone spring colors are you ready to rock?

I like it a lot. I’m most excited about the Marsala and least about the Scuba Blue. I don’t think I wear teal well and the Scuba Blue is very close. It is more subdued though, so I wouldn’t mind it as an accent color.

  2. I love gray year around, in the warmer months I love to see it with yellow. I'm so ready for spring/summer wear.

  3. OMG I need that entire wardrobe for real! I'm really loving that scuba blue! I saw a yellow leather jacket the other day that I think I need to incorporate into my wardrobe. And yes…please snow, get thee away!

  4. Like you I am SOOOOO over the cold and snow and I'm anxiously waiting for Springs arrival. I love the wardrobe options you posted and I'm looking forward to going Spring shopping, it's time to upgrade my closet. Great post and stay warm!

  5. I’m sooooo over this weather. Bring on spring! I’d wear every single thing you put together. Can you come live in my closet?

I was doing some research on the trends this spring for a post on my blog and I came across Pantone's website and I had no clue that even though there is a color of the year, there are still other colors that are going to trend! I am loving Lucid Green and Scuba Blue! I can't wait to wear those colors this spring!

  7. I'm also team over the Winter (as it's snowing outside here in NYC right now).  I'm loving the pieces you showcased though especially that sweater, skirt and shoes.  Can't wait for Spring though, blue is always poppin' to me but that Lucite green is calling my name!
